Learn more about Team USA for the 2024 Paralympics

Even before the Paralympics started in Paris on Aug. 28, the United States Team already reached a milestone. The USA roster has 110 men and 110 women, not including their guides. The team includes 141 returning athletes.

“We are filled with pride to unveil the Team USA athletes who will represent the United States at the Paralympic Games in Paris this summer," said USOPC chief executive officer Sarah Hirshland. "Their journey to the pinnacle of their careers is a testament to their unwavering dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence – attributes shared by our community of national governing bodies, coaches, families, and USOPC staff who strive to help them achieve. We’ve seen what Paris has to offer the athletes of the world as they compete, and the fans of sport who celebrate the very best in elite competition. Now we eagerly anticipate the extraordinary moments and awe-inspiring Paralympic competition that lies ahead, and we can't wait for Team USA to show the world what they can do.”

More than 50 percent of the USA team competed at the collegiate level. On the rowing team, 100 percent of them have experience with their college team, while it is 92 for women’s basketball and 71 percent for the track and field team.

“At NTI, we are really excited about the Paralympics,” said Alan Hubbard, NTI’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “We love hearing about the journey they experience to reach the highest level of competition. Paris is a great place to bring the world together.” NTI helps Americans with disabilities and their caregivers find remote work opportunities with our employer-partners.

The USA stars will be out in Paris, including swimmer Jessica Long, who has 29 medals, including eight gold, in her decorated career. She has been competing in swimming events since she was the youngest American on the 2004 U.S. team at just 12 years old.

Another one to look out for is Tatyana McFadden, a six-time Paralympian who competes in sprinting and various distance track events. She has earned a record, 20 medals, over her legendary career.

Oksana Masters, who also competes in the Winter Games, is looking to repeat her double gold medal in road cycling.
