NTI Allows Stacy to Help Others

When we first talked with Stacy Falcone in 2021, she offered advice for other people who were new to working from home. So, it’s no surprise that she is quick to tell others, including those with multiple sclerosis like herself that, “You can do it! Don’t put any limitations on yourself.”
“I tell people where I work and how I have always liked it,” said Falcone. “I feel like for me, it makes me feel productive again. It makes me feel like I am part of something."
Stacy’s first job with NTI involved conducting surveys with patients using a specific cancer medication. This job was difficult because at the time, Stacy’s late fiancé, Dennis, was battling cancer himself. She decided to look on the positive and take hope from the people she was talking with.
“It was nice because I got to talk with other cancer patients and see them doing well.” said Stacy.
Stacey has since transitioned into a new position with NTI, where she works for an insurance company and handles claims for people whose loved ones have recently passed away. This role has also had its difficult times for Stacy. Especially when she was grieving the loss of her fiancé.
“That was really hard, because he had just passed away from stage four cancer,” said the South Carolina resident. “Now it is like I can look at the other side and empathize with people.”
Stacey started with NTI, because she needed to find a job that would allow her to take the breaks she needs throughout the day. She finds working from home allows her to do that. “I love it,” she said. “I mean, it makes me feel like I’m productive again.”
“As a nonprofit organization, we are successful when people like Stacy find positions they enjoy and are very good at.” said Alan Hubbard, NTI@Home’s Chief Operating Officer. “She was able to find a job she loves, and it shows in her hard work. We are so glad we’ve been able to help to people like Stacy for more than 25 years.”
