Tamie Hooper has worked for NTI for 14 years. She started as an Order Entry Clerk (OEC) for the IRS and worked her way up in a couple years to be an IRS Team Lead. Her day-to-day involves supporting and monitoring her team of OEC agents as they go about their day taking calls rapidly one after the other. They must work through multiple windows, provide great customer service, and place orders for the callers. Tamie’s job is to make sure they have the training, resources, and confidence to take those calls. She makes sure to maintain an open-door policy with my team because she knows what it like is to be an OEC.

“I never wanted my disability to end my career, so my suggestion for anyone searching for a new path, NTI, telework, would be a good fit for you. Working from home for 14 years has allowed me to work as a flexible schedule, part-time or full-time, whichever you prefer. And you know, it's a good way to make new friends, acquaintances, and just to be a part of a great team.” Tamie told NTI.

Tamie is glad that she took a chance and registered for NTI 14 years ago. She has this advice for others who are hesitant to take the leap to start working from home.  “If you are motivated, organized, and have good communication skills, I urge you to apply it in NTI. We are here to welcome you to the team and help you achieve your goals and be successful as an OEC.”

Tamie enjoys working from her home and has this advice for others considering a work-at-home job. “Well, if you want to put your customer service skills to work, the entire team is ready to help you do achieve those goals and take a chance be part of our team. Working from home is a great opportunity and just remember the commute. We don't have one and then also on the dress code is really relaxed like you can wear whatever you want.”
